For relocation firms

Last updated 1 October 2026.

The research you already do, done

A relocation assignment starts with area research: what the council tax is, how the schools are placed, whether it has flooded, what a comparable home costs, how far the nearest surgery is. It is hours of work per assignment. It is the same work every time. The client never sees most of it.

Groundsense is that research as a tool. Every local authority in the United Kingdom on one scale, with a comparison you can put in front of a client.

Why it holds up in a client meeting

Every figure carries the source it came from, the period it covers, the geography it is true at and the date it was checked. When a client asks where a number came from, there is an answer. It is checkable against the original publication.

Anything not published reads as no data rather than as an estimate. Nothing here is modelled, averaged from a neighbouring area or quietly filled in. That is the part that matters when somebody is deciding where to move their family on the strength of it.

What is in it today

Eight measures across six categories, covering 361 local authorities: house prices, council tax, affordability against local pay, car ownership, full fibre availability, GP practice ratings and two measures of personal wellbeing. Coverage varies by nation. Each figure states which nations it covers.

More land regularly. The pipeline that builds them is the product.

What it costs

Priced per firm against how many assignments you run, because five a year and fifty a year are different products. Tell us roughly what you do and we will give you a number rather than a quote form.

Talk to us

It is a short conversation with the person who built it, not a demo booking that turns into a sales sequence. finlay@wellingtonwebco.com.

Worth saying plainly: we want to know how long the area research actually takes you per assignment. That number decides what this is worth to you. We would rather hear it than guess at it.
