Groundsense Back

Terms and refunds

Last updated 26 September 2026.

Not yet reviewed

These terms were drafted for this specific product rather than adapted from a template, which makes them accurate about what we do and does not make them professionally checked. They have not been read by a solicitor. That is recorded here rather than left implicit.

Who you are buying from

Groundsense is a product of Wellington Web Co, a company registered in Scotland, registered office 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN. Contact: finlay@wellingtonwebco.com.

To complete before going live: company registration number.

What you are buying

A written comparison of three to five areas you name, against the area you live in now, built around three priorities you tell us. It is delivered as a web page you can keep and print.

It is researched and written by a person using published official sources. It is not generated automatically and it is not a subscription to a tool.

When it arrives

Within five working days of your order and your answers, whichever is later. If we are going to miss that, we will tell you before the deadline rather than after it and you can have your money back at that point without waiting for the plan.

We cap how many plans we take in a week, because each one is built by hand. When the cap is reached, ordering closes rather than the delivery promise slipping.

Refunds

Fourteen days, no questions asked. Email us within fourteen days of receiving your plan and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason and you keep the plan.

This is deliberately more generous than the statutory position. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you normally have fourteen days to cancel a service and that right can be lost once the service has been performed with your agreement. We are not asking you to waive it and we are not going to argue that the plan being delivered ends your right to a refund.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, usually within five working days.

What this is not

Accuracy and its limits

Every figure in a plan carries its source, the period it covers and the date we checked it. We take those figures from official published data and we do not alter them.

What we cannot do is make a source correct. If an official dataset is wrong, out of date or means something other than it appears to, a plan built on it inherits that. This is why each figure names its source: so you can check the ones that matter to you against the original and so you can see how old it is.

If you find a figure you believe is wrong, tell us. We will check it, correct it if it is wrong and tell you what we found either way.

Liability

We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud and for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Beyond that and because a plan is research rather than advice, our liability for any claim connected to a plan is limited to what you paid for it. A move is a large decision made on many inputs and a £49 document is one of them.

Your content

The postcodes and priorities you give us are yours. We use them to build your plan and for nothing else. See the privacy notice.

The plan we write for you is yours to keep, print and send to whoever you like. We ask only that you do not republish it publicly as though it were a general guide to an area, because it is not: it is built for your household and it would mislead somebody else.

Changes

If we change these terms, the version that applies to your order is the one published on the day you ordered. We keep the previous versions.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, this does not take away the protection of the consumer law where you live.
