Adults who volunteered for a group or charity in the last year, every council ranked

Unpaid help to a group, club or organisation, at least once in the last year. From a survey of about 500 adults in each council, so give or take about five points. Figures for 2024/25, published for 296 councils in England. Lowest first: the order says where a council sits, not whether that is good.

Lowest: City of London, 14.5%. The council in the middle: Stockport, 28.6%. Highest: South Hams, 45.3%.
